While the user experience of interacting with a Bot is intuitive and smooth (as easy as Chatting..) , the experience of locating the right Bot to interact with, seem complicated. Better Bots discovery UX Will end up with more users.

2017 is said to be the year of the Bots and ChatBots by various leading analysts and press.

Those predictions are more a forecast than a “ logical guess” mainly as Facebook and Microsoft are fully committed to it, added with the fact that Main Smartphone manufactures are upgrading the Smartphone experience to be led by a Bot.

To the i-Phone’s Siri, Google Added to its Pixel Smartphone their Bot named Google assistant, Samsung is adding Viv to their new models, while LG and Hauwei will use Amazon’s Alexa.

Bots will not stop at smartphones and will be soon added to any Car infotainment systems, of many brands. Amazon Alexa and Microsoft’s Bot Cortana are “car ready” looking to take on the market.

So if there is a leading Mega Bot in each platform, why is there a need to so many different Bots and Chatbots, Should those “Leading Mega Bots” be our only Bot?

The answer is that even a master Bot, including those mentioned above, are not “almighty Bots”. It can’t do everything. In cases when a leading Master bot is asked by a user something it can’t perform, it supposed to introduce the user to the relevant Bot. Thus do an “handshake” with a relevant niche bot.

“ Bots should locate its relevant users and not the other way around.. ”

.

However there are two main Challenges that stand in the way of smooth interaction among Bots:

1. No shared Bots Cross Platform recourses- ChatBots are located in many “closed” platforms like FaceBook Messenger, Microsoft’s Skype, Slack, WeChat, Kik, Telegram, Twitter and many others.

Each Platform does not share its resources with other Bots Platforms.

For example if you get into Skype and ask its leading Bot, Cortana, for assistance with something it doesn’t do, it’ll gladly connect you with other Skype bot who may do it. It will disregard other more relevant Bots that may exist outside skype .

Botlist is trying to become a Bots search engine, but due to same issues, holds only up to 5% of all Bots, but even such platform can solve the following challenge.

2. Users can’t find what they don’t know that exists- With so many Niche bots users don’t even know what to ask for.

For example, Did you know that there are Bots that can help you cancel Parking tickets, others can summarize anything you need, and others that can go over your bank account reports to see that there are no double billings.. and many more

Now that you do and you’ll want to interact with it, you’ll have to check each different platform to locate them.. Will you? Why should you?

In fact, looking at the low number of Bot users, it is quite obvious to see that without a better user experience, while trying to discover a Bots makes most potential users give up the idea; at least until a more intuitive Bots Discovery solution will be available.

This is exactly the challenge we at ai type, are trying to address. We are turning our Mobile keyboard, which already has 60 Million downloads, to a Bots Matching Mobile Keyboard

We believe that Bots should locate its relevant users and not the other way around.

Just like a web Cookie who asks users to allow it to personalize the massages and content it will show them, the ai type keyboard will ask users if they will allow it to match Bots according to their written conversation topics.

The relevant Bots will look for its users and not the other way around!

So far, the Responsiveness in our closed beta is amazing. People are looking for a Bots Discovery Platform, that disregards the Bots origin.

On a later stage the Ai type Keyboard will become a full Bots Discovery platform allowing Bots Developers to Upload their Bots using “AdWords” style keyboard system, which will allow developers to locate the right words which should lead more users to their Bot.

Bots “AdWords” style Keyboard system, will allow developers to locate the right words which should lead more users to their Bot.

.

With researches showing that 40% of millennials preferring self-service we believe that the ai type Bots Matching Mobile Keyboard, which will air on March 2017, could offer a valid solution.

Stay Tuned :)
